Meals on Wheels is described as a program that “primarily provides nutritious meals, a quick safety check and much-needed human connection to homebound seniors.” East Cooper Meals on Wheels’ annual gala and auction is a black-tie optional affair where attendees enjoy signature small plates from 10 to 12 local chefs and restaurants, as well as live and silent auctions. Executive Chef Tiana Hamilton and her team provided fresh local Mahi-Mahi with tropical salsa served over Roasted Baby Carrots and Carolina Gold Rice. for the gala. Needless to say, they were a hit! The night ended with a hefty amount of funds raised for meals for local senior citizens. We can’t wait for next year!
