New Menu Items at Virginia’s on King

We’ve got some exciting news for authentic, Southern food enthusiasts: Virginia’s on King is adding new menu items to our lunch and supper menu! We are so excited to roll out some of our new specialties in accordance with the changing seasons, while also bringing back some of our customer favorites.

Some new additions to the lunch menu include chicken pot pie, a meatloaf patty melt, a fried catfish sandwich, and the Virginia’s cookout burger. The chicken pot pie is a true traditional Southern dish loaded with peas, onions, and carrots, just like grandma used to make! We also added the meatloaf patty melt, sandwiched between two Texas toast buns with caramelized onions, Swiss cheese, and our chef’s special sauce. Try adding a farm egg for an additional $2 to top it all off. For the seafood lovers, our chef has concocted a real treat: a fried catfish sandwich, seasoned with parmesan and black pepper and topped with fresh dill pickles and a creamy tartar sauce. Lastly, If you want the taste of a burger with a Southern twist, our new cookout burger revamps the traditional one into our very own special creation. It includes a double patty topped with American cheese, apple cider vinegar slaw, and a generous helping of our chef’s special sauce.

We also brought a couple of fan favorites back to the VoK menu. Virginia’s boiled peanuts, boiled with pepper vinegar and smoked ham hock, are making a reappearance, along with our tomato bisque. The perfect addition for the fall weather, this soup is a scrumptious appetizer; enjoy a cup or bowl.

Our dinner menu kept most of our favorite classics, with the addition of classic homestyle meatloaf. Served with parmesan buttered potatoes, caramelized onions, and topped with brown gravy, this is sure to get your mouth watering! In addition to this, there are a number of Southern favorites to choose from, like a bone-in pork chop, homemade fried chicken, or our fried seafood platter. Pair these with some speciality sides like stone ground grits or baked mac and cheese to get the full dining experience.
