On the second Sunday of every month, King Street (from Calhoun to Queen Street) closes to traffic and opens to pedestrians from 1-5 p.m. This year-round, free event features fantastic shopping, special events, unique art exhibits, live music and great eats from top restaurants.

Before Second Sunday starts, enjoy a southern Lowcountry brunch at Virginia’s on King or a French-inspired brunch at 39 Rue de Jean from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

After Second Sunday, venture back over to Hutson Alley for $4 tacos, half-priced bottles of wine and live music from Graham Whorley at Coast Bar and Grill. After a long day of walking and shopping, relax on the comfy leather couches at Victor Social Club and enjoy craft cocktails and Cuban-inspired small plates. Refuel with fresh, handmade pasta at Vincent Chicco’s or a prime cut of steak and premium bottle of wine at Michael’s on The Alley.

“Only one block away from King and Calhoun Streets, Hutson Alley is the perfect destination for brunch, lunch or dinner during Second Sunday festivities. From mimosas to shrimp and grits or craft cocktails to live music, Hutson Alley has you covered, ” said Kinsey Rogers, Marketing Manager at Holy City Hospitality.

Leisurely roam King Street with family and friends, and enjoy all that the Charleston Peninsula has to offer! The next Second Sunday on King Street is May 13.
