Recently, the Historic Rice Mill had the pleasure of hosting a styled wedding shoot for The Wedding Row that left us eager for the real thing! Picture bright light flowing over crisp white table cloths, bouquets of ivory flowers spilling over their vases, and golden accent pieces glinting around the room and you’ll be on the right track. And that doesn’t even cover the bride and groom!

The idea behind this shoot was to capture a couple’s romantic moments along the waterfront. Before the elegant bride and dashing groom sailed away though, Alex Thornton, the session’s photographer, captured them looking the picture of quiet contentment in our outdoor patio and garden wedding venue spaces. AnnaBella Florals’ arrangements completed the look with bouquets of wispy leaves and muted flowers, ideal for a coastal wedding.

To finish off the shoot, the newlyweds set out for the boardwalk and hopped aboard an aptly-named boat, the Fate. From the Mill’s historic exposed brick interiors and patios perfect for dancing to the rustic boardwalk and tranquil waters of Charleston’s Ashley River, there isn’t much more to be desired from a waterfront wedding venue or a styled photoshoot.
